For the Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi is dedicated to the large IVAO event, organized by the Russian division. Ski resorts and Olympic Park taking the participants and guests. Thousands of athletes, volunteers, press and media, spectators and visitors from all over the world arriving on the coast of the Black sea. We are expecting a very heavy traffic. When in the mountains will be cool enough, in the airport of Sochi, which will work in peak mode with large ATC, will be very hot. Take more fuel on board. The event will be held during February, on Saturdays, and is divided into three phases:
Stage 1. 8 February. 13.00z - 19.00z. URSS Fly-In (Arrival in Sochi).
Stage 2. 15 February. 14.00z - 17.00z. VFR in olympic skies (Visual flights on the Black sea coast).
Stage 3. 22 February. 14.00z - 18.00z. URSS Fly-Out (Departure from Sochi).
For any flight performed on stage, every pilot will receive 1 point for Pilot Award Events. For participation in any two of the three planned stages, each pilot will receive Aviation Celebration Tours And Events Award. Don't forget to send reports.
